Teen volunteers play a very important part in our summer program. Working under the supervision of the library staff, teen volunteers may assist with children’s programs, hand out reading incentives, shelve books, and help with other duties as assigned.

City policy requires all volunteers to fill out an application, which will be available online beginning April 28. Volunteers 16 and older are required to be drug-tested and fingerprinted.

Teens must attend a mandatory one-hour orientation and training session. Parents may attend, if they wish. (Must be at least 13 years of age by June 19)
