Adults with a valid Orange Public Library card can check out a Ukulele Kit for free and teach themselves some musical skills!
What does a Ukulele Kit include?
Each kit includes a ukulele, case, strap, tuner, picks, and a beginner instructional book and DVD.
How do I check out a Ukulele Kit?
- Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ukulele Kits check out for 3 weeks and may be renewed up to 4 times if there are no holds.
- Ukulele Kits may be placed on hold by visiting any Orange Public Library location, or by calling the Reference Desk at (714) 288-2410.

How do I return a Ukulele Kit?
- Borrowers must return Ukulele Kits in-person during open hours to the Lending Services Desk at the Orange Public Library & History Center, or to the Taft or El Modena Branch Libraries.
- Ukulele Kits may not be returned in any book drop. Doing so may result in borrower incurring fees for any damages.
- Borrower is responsible for any lost or damaged equipment.
What if I want help to learn how to play?
In addition to instructional books and DVDs available for checkout, the Orange Public Library & History Center hosts a monthly program called Ukulele SOUP. Ukulele players of all abilities are welcome to join to play simple songs and to sing along. Check the Adult Program Calendar for the next event.
