Beginning February 5, view our newest Local History exhibit celebrating the centennial of the Friendly Center, which was established in the Cypress Barrio. 

Join us as we celebrate the centennial of the Friendly Center.  Located in the Cypress Barrio, Friendly Center was founded in 1924 in response to the needs of the local migrant farm workers and their families that settled in the City of Orange.  In March 1967, it became a community supported, non-profit corporation. As the oldest non-profit in Orange County, Friendly Center remains true to its original mission of improving the lives of the impoverished by helping them move toward self-sufficiency. 

The exhibit will be located across from the Lending Services Desk at the Orange Public Library & History Center and will run from February 5 through July 27.
