March 2 is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, so celebrate with a Dr. Seuss StoryWalk®! Families will start at the Orange Public Library & History Center and then take a stroll while reading a story and spending time together. At the end of the journey, each child will receive a free book.
* There is no need to come at the program’s starting time as the StoryWalk® is entirely self-led at your own pace. However, to receive a free book, you must complete the StoryWalk® and be in line by 3:45 pm.
** For the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff, this event will adhere to all current State of California mandates and may be modified, postponed or cancelled. Please check back for any updates.
What is a StoryWalk®?
A StoryWalk® is a creative way for families to enjoy the outdoors while going on a reading adventure at the same time. Pages of a book are posted along a path, and you follow signs or a map to read the story along the way, page by page!
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
