Get a jumpstart on your summer volunteering and apply at our Summer Reading Club 2022 Hiring Fair. You’ll be able to learn about being a teen volunteer, get priority scheduling, and enter to win a raffle.

Teen volunteers play a very important part in our summer program. Working under the supervision of the library staff, teen volunteers may assist with children’s programs, hand out reading incentives, shelve books, and help with other duties as assigned.

City policy requires all volunteers to fill out an application, which will be available at any of the Orange Public Libraries beginning Friday, April 29. Volunteers 16 and older are required to be drug-tested and fingerprinted

Teens must attend a mandatory one-hour orientation and training session. Parents may attend, if they wish.
