All participants, by virtue of their entry, agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

• You must be 13 to 18 years old to enter.
• One (1) entry per person.
• Artwork must be original, previously unpublished, and free of copyright restrictions. Do not submit a version of someone else’s work or a drawing of a copyrighted character (like Spider-Man, Wolverine, or anime characters).
• All submissions artwork that meets Library standards will be entered into the Orange Public Library (OPL) Comic Convention Teen Art Contest.
• Your entry will not be returned to you at the end of the contest.
• Submission must be accompanied by a signed entry form including: name, address, email address, and phone number.  The printable entry form is linked at the bottom of this page.
• Requesting anonymity: If you don’t want your name published, please check the anonymous box when submitting your work. We will respect your request and not publish your name in print or online, but we must still have accurate name and address information for every user.
• By submitting your work to us, you are giving OPL the non-exclusive right to publish your work in any format, including print, electronic, and online media. However, all individual contributors retain the right to submit their work for non-exclusive publication elsewhere.
• OPL reserves the right to change or modify the rules or discontinue the contest without prior notice.

• Artwork should relate to comic convention themes (superheroes, science fiction, fantasy, etc.).
• We accept 8.5” x 11” artwork that you have created yourself on paper. Traditional artwork should be created using mediums such as pencils, markers, pens, crayons, paint, etc.
• Digital artwork that fit on 8.5” x 11” paper will also be accepted.
• We are not taking 3D pieces or photography at this time.

• The Library will begin accepting submissions on Monday, July 15.
• Drop off your artwork and entry form at the Children's Desk at the Orange Public Library & History Center or at the One Desk at the El Modena or Taft Branch Library (Entry Forms are available at these drop off locations and online). Submit digital art through the Digital Artwork Submission link below.
• Entries will be accepted until Friday, September 6.

All accepted entries will be displayed in the Rotary Room during our Comic Convention event on Saturday, September 14. Winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. after Cosplay Contest in the Community Room.
